Return, Refund & Reading Policies

Hello! Thank you for visiting my shop and booking tarot readings with me. I put a lot of care and personal attention into every session, book, and gift card purchase. This page outlines how I handle returns, refunds, rescheduling, and a few important policies so everything is clear and easy from the start.

I always want your experience with me to feel welcoming, thoughtful, and respectful. Because my offerings are personalized and often appointment-based, I do need to set a few clear boundaries around time, custom items, and missed sessions.

Books & Gift Cards

Custom Creations

Everything I make is specially made for its new owner, which means I can’t accept returns on custom items. Your item is yours alone, made just for you with your unique inscription and signature.

Damaged Items

I do my best to make sure your items arrive in tip-top shape. But if something arrives and it’s not looking its best, here’s what to do within 3 days of receiving your order:

Please send me:

  • pictures of the damage
  • your order number
  • the best way to contact you

You can email me directly at elliot@elliotoracle.com.

If it’s clear the item was damaged in transit, I’ll replace it at no extra cost to you. You do not need to return the damaged item. I’ll send a replacement, and you can recycle or donate the damaged copy.

For Non-Damaged Items

If you’re not feeling thrilled about your purchase for any reason other than damage, I really do want to hear about it. While I can’t take back custom items, I’m always open to feedback and want to make your experience better.

Tarot Readings

Tarot readings are time-based, personalized services. When you book a reading, you’re reserving a specific appointment on my calendar just for you, so these policies help protect both your time and mine.

Rescheduling

If you need to change your appointment time, you can reschedule up to 24 hours before our scheduled session. The easiest way to do this is through your original booking email using the reschedule link provided there. If you have trouble finding that email, feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to help.

Being On Time

I value your time, and punctuality is really important to me. I always aim to be on time and ready for our session, and I kindly ask that you do the same. Please have your phone or computer set up and ready to go before the session begins. I build in a 5-minute grace period in case something unexpected comes up, but after that I may need to treat the session as missed or help arrange a new time, depending on the situation.

No-Call / No-Show

I understand that life happens, and if something unexpected comes up, please let me know as soon as you can. If you do not show up for your scheduled session and do not contact me within 5 minutes of the appointment start time, the session will be considered a no-call / no-show. Because that time has been reserved specifically for you, no-call / no-show appointments are non-refundable.

That said, if it seems like there may have been an honest mistake or an emergency, I will typically do my best to reach out and offer a reschedule when appropriate. Any reschedule offered in those situations is at my discretion.

Late Arrivals

If you’re running late, please send me a quick message. If we’re still able to meet, your session may need to be shortened so that I can stay on time for the next client. In some cases, I may choose to reschedule instead.

A Good Reading Needs a Quiet Space

In order for me to give you the best reading possible, it’s important that you find a calm, private place with minimal distractions. If there is too much noise or too many interruptions, I may ask you to move to a quieter spot before we continue.

Availability

My website always shows my current availability. If all time slots are booked, I’m not able to squeeze in extra sessions. If you need to make a last-minute adjustment, send me an email and I’ll do my best to help, but I can’t guarantee additional availability outside the booking calendar.

Recordings, Photos & Follow-Up

By default, I do not record sessions unless you ask me to before we begin. You’re welcome to record the session on your own device, or you can ask me in advance if you’d like me to record it for you. If you’d like a photo of your tarot spread, please let me know at the beginning of the reading and I’m happy to send one when possible.

Once your reading is over, the cards are shuffled in preparation for my next client. That means I’m not able to answer follow-up questions, draw additional cards, or continue the reading after our scheduled time has ended.

Not a Substitute for Therapy or Medical Care

Tarot readings are intended for personal insight and reflection. They are not a substitute for therapy, medical care, mental health treatment, legal advice, or financial advice. If you are dealing with a mental health concern or emotional crisis, please seek support from a licensed therapist, doctor, or other qualified professional.

Right Fit

I always strive to provide the best service possible, but sometimes it’s just not the right fit, and that’s okay. If for any reason I feel I’m not the best person to help you, I may decline a session or do my best to point you toward someone else who may be a better match.
